Pondok Bambu House is a renovation of a two-storey residential house project, designed to embody a natural and modern concept that emphasizes calming atmospheres and harmonious spatial organization. The design approach prioritizes simplicity, natural material expression, and a seamless integration between indoor and outdoor environments, enhancing the overall quality of living through thoughtful spatial zoning and serene ambience.

The first floor is entirely dedicated to public and semi-public functions, arranged to encourage fluid interaction and openness. Upon entry, a covered carport accommodates two vehicles, leading to a welcoming foyer that serves as a transitional space into the house. The layout includes a guest bedroom with an integrated  bathroom, a comfortable living room and kitchen that is oriented towards a void garden that introduces natural light and ventilation, and also accompanied by a discreet powder room. In addition, a clearly defined service area is provided, comprising a maid’s bedroom and bathroom to ensure functionality without disrupting the privacy of the main living spaces.

The second floor is designed as the private zone of the house, fostering comfort and tranquility. It features a spacious master bedroom with a walk-in closet, a luxurious integrated bathroom, and a balcony that offers a connection to the outdoor environment.

Adjacent to the master bedroom is a dedicated praying room, promoting spiritual balance within the private zone. Two additional children’s bedrooms are located nearby, sharing a well-appointed bathroom. The upper level also includes a service area designated for laundry and drying, strategically positioned for privacy and practicality.

The renovation aims to elevate the spatial experience through clear zoning, natural lighting, and material warmth. The integration of void spaces and garden elements not only enhances visual connectivity across both floors but also reinforces the project’s calming, nature-inspired character.
