This project is collaborated with Lokantara, we serve a masterplan project situated in Bendungan Hilir (Benhil), a strategically located area in the heart of Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital city. This central position offers significant urban value due to its proximity to key government, commercial, and residential zones. The site benefits from well-established infrastructure networks, including road access, utilities, and public services, making it a strong foundation for future development. One of the site’s unique physical characteristics is the presence of a river corridor, which presents an untapped opportunity to enhance the area’s environmental quality and serve as a catalyst for sustainable urban revitalization.

Comprehensive research indicates that the Bendungan Hilir area holds great potential to be transformed into a new commercial and tourism destination within Jakarta’s central district. Leveraging its centrality, the area can serve as a vibrant urban node that complements the capital’s economic and cultural activities. With thoughtful planning and design, the development can introduce a renewed identity for the district one that reflects both modern aspirations and Jakarta’s rich urban character while simultaneously increasing the overall land value and livability of the area.

Furthermore, the site’s location within a Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) zone presents a compelling opportunity to prioritize walkability, seamless urban mobility, and the use of public transportation. The integration of pedestrian-friendly environments and efficient transport systems will not only enhance connectivity across the district but also support a sustainable, people-centered urban experience. The masterplan envisions a future where accessibility, inclusivity, and environmental stewardship are harmonized to create a resilient and dynamic urban quarter.
